It argues for an understanding of infrastructure as both social and technical and highlights the work of community organizations in Redhook using technology to work together.

The "Berke-opoly game directed players to different locations throughout Berkeley that sold or promoted fair trade practices and products. It was featured on the cover and ran in the widely distributed East Bay Express. The game was part of a broader campaign to: 1. increase public awareness of "fair trade" as a means of ensuring more ethical labor practices in global supply chains, 2. highlight vendors offering fair trade products within the Berkeley community 3. pass legislation requiring city procurement be "fair trade" or "sweat free" whenever available. The city of Berkeley voted on and passed legislation shortly after the campaign to officially become a Fair Trade Town in 2009.
Pii develops educational media for children to support peace-building efforts that reduce the chance of intergenerational repeat conflict. The work is accomplished through strategies that aim to “take the fear out of difference.” Pii works with grassroot and stakeholder organizations to identify and create culturally appropriate stories and characters that are developed into educational broadcast media formats.
Re-Thinking the Edge is a project using large physical models that involve environmental and energy infrastructure to position reuse in the central area of the Veneto that is characterized by widespread urbanization.
